English in York is open on all other public holidays throughout the year.

We normally advise that students try to arrive at their Homestays the weekend before their course begins, however we can be flexible if we have enough notice.

The closest airport to York is Leeds/Bradford airport, however Manchester International airport is also very close, has multiple flight connections and has easier transport links to York.

We can arrange taxi transfers to and from the airport. The price for a transfer from Leeds/Bradford is £85 (each way) and from Manchester International is £160 (each way).

We are an adult only school, and the minimum age is 16 years old (with parental consent).

We do not accept beginners on our group courses, we accept students from Elementary upwards. Any student with a beginner level of English would need to take a one-to-one course.

A weekly bus pass in York is £18.
